In Africa there’s something called extended family system. Two Camerunian national team players came for a tryout to Porvoo. Their trip was sponsored by their village and while in Porvoo they were already planning on sending stuff (for example badminton rackets) back to their village after signing the contract. Another candidate, a national team player from Zimbabwe carrying the nickname “Chosen One” also came to Porvoo. He moved on to Sweden after finding out he wasn’t the chosen one in Porvoo. Still, even if you don’t have the talent, getting invited to Europe can be a victory in its own right.

this is…. pretty sad. Okay, i know that Finland does not have a strong basketball culture/ teams/ league, whatever. It’s not right to treat anyone like that, they do not even speak the damn language, these foreign players deserved better treatments… not those arrogant ass American players, they really just do not give a damn about their occupation… they probably just think that they are Americans and they are quite good at basketball so they just fuck around and play ball with 0 effort….

Ei vaan oikeasti, mä oon nähnyt tästä sarjasta 20-minuuttisen teaserin ja välillä meno on melko tragikoomista, mutta tuo joukkueen johdon sohlaaminen on kaikkea muuta kuin hauskaa. Se on pahimmillaan raadollista katsottavaa.
