I’m one of those plebs who sits enthralled by the Olympics without a clue as to the rules of the various sports.

Just wanted to know…why do they keep brushing the court in the area just under the net? What surface is the court?

If anyone answers this I’ll be amazed!

Can anyone tell me the latest laws of badminton. For mens singles and doubles As I believe the laws keep changing fairly often. I want to know things like

who serves when
which part of the court is in which is out

some other basic rules will be helpful as well

these sports are quite similar and have the same origin and we could have olympic matches etc. if these were global sports but they are not now. sports like badminton and handball make it to the olympics but not the more popular rugby and American Football. which is sad

bring the best parts of both together……..
